Before we packed up and left our home in New York, we had been head chefs at two of the highest-rated restaurants in the Hamptons on the eastern end of Long Island, Robert’s in Watermill and World Pie in Bridgehampton.  Yet, all the while that we were running our respective kitchens, we kept a small fire burning for the dream of opening our own idea of a great restaurant someday.  Our plan was to find the most promising, picturesque town in the country, where the people were varied, smart, good-looking, and hungry for the kind of genuine culinary thing we do.

If you recall, 2012 wasn’t the greatest year for risky business moves.  Back then, our hope was simply to survive.  But, in fact, we flourished.  And you made it happen.

In 1955, two Georgia neighbors opened up a restaurant that would change the world. Joe Rogers Sr. and Tom Forkner were living in Avondale Estates, GA, when they decided to open a 24-hour, sit-down restaurant for their friends and neighbors, focused on people on both sides of the counter. That first restaurant opened the door to create the Waffle House brand that you see today.

As this movement began to expand, new restaurants were built in Georgia as well as neighboring states, and the “Yellow Sign” soon became a familiar landmark along city streets and interstate highways across the country. Welcome to the Vance Birthplace State Historic Site! Learn about North Carolina mountain life and culture on this reconstructed plantation in the Reems Creek Valley. Tour a 1790s slave dwelling, several 19th century outbuildings, and the reconstructed log house of the Vance family. Explore the exhibit in our visitor center to learn more about the life of Zebulon Vance and his political impact on the state. We are a small family operated alpaca farm in the lovely Weaverville, NC. We are home to close to 25 alpacas, 2 Great Pryneese guard dogs, and 2 miniature guard donkey’s. Along with selling alpacas and offering mentoring support we also have a small farm store with products made here on the farm, we offer some of our barn space for small private parties, and we have multiple Open Houses throughout the year. Founded by owners Jon and Shea Varner in 2016 and bringing the dream to reality in the fall of 2017, we are on mission to share the beers we like to drink with Weaverville and North Carolina. Mountain High Adventures is a custom, guided tour service based in Asheville, NC. We offer sightseeing and hiking tours along the Blue Ridge Parkway, DuPont State Recreational Forest, and Pisgah National Forest. Chauffeured private hourly rentals are also available.

We are a small production brewery with a sweet little tasting area that is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 1-6 pm. We are closed on other days in order to brew or bottle. We are located in downtown Weaverville which is just 10 minutes from downtown Asheville.

We offer small pours and flights of both the beers that we have bottled as well as experimental small batches available only at the brewery. Chilled bottles are available for enjoying on or off premise as well.

The name Zebulon was chosen because it just sounds awesome, and it starts with a Z which is always cool. There is the famous explorer Zebulon Pike, and of course the USS Zebulon from Star Trek! We just think it sounds bad ass.

Small Museum concentrating on the Dry Ridge and Weaverville NC with very interestng artifacts from various time periods. The best part is the knowledge of the curators. It is open very limited hours, free and a special visit.
